Nell Avery listens during a consultation, pencil in hand over an open notebook.

Approach

Listen first.

Then the plan.

Eight years in NHS outpatient clinics taught Nell that advice only works if it fits the week you actually have. So the first hour is mostly listening, and the plan comes out of your shopping, your shifts and your kitchen.

How I work.

Three rules, every session.

01

Nothing is off the menu.

We change what goes with a food, how much and when, before we ever talk about cutting it out.

02

Three changes at a time.

Each session ends with three changes, written down. The next session starts with how they went.

03

Your GP stays in the loop.

With your agreement, your GP gets a short letter after the first visit, so medicines and food pull in the same direction.

The first hour,

minute by minute.

00–15

00–15

Your story

What brought you here, what you have already tried and what a good day of eating looks like for you.

15–30

15–30

A normal week

The last few days of meals, shifts, sleep and shopping, from your photos or from memory.

30–40

30–40

Results and medicines

Blood results, clinic letters, medicines and supplements, read against what you eat.

40–60

40–60

Your first three changes

Three changes written down before you leave, and a date to check how they went.

What I don’t do,

on purpose.

01

No meal-plan PDFs. Your plan is built from meals you already cook.

02

No supplement sales, shakes or affiliate links.

03

No weigh-ins, unless you ask for one.

04

No detoxes, cleanses or intolerance tests sent through the post.

Registered,

and you can check.
